What is a sneakerhead?

The urban dictionary describe a sneakerhead as “A person who collects limited, rare, OG, or flat out exclusive kicks.”

Nowadays you have got a gang of “Cool Kids” throwing the term Sneakerhead around all willy nilly to a point where its lost its meaning like the word gangster. E.g. “Yo that dress is GANGSTA!!!”………right.

Lets get a few things clear: Just because you have enough to buy each and every sneaker that is released with hype around it, that does not make you a sneakerhead. (I bought too many Jelly Bean packs to compete with your money.)

Just because you camped outside your nearest sneaker shop for 72 hours before they got Air Yeezy’s and you copped the first pair even though you reeked of booty funk and beach chair sweat….THAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU A SNEAKERHEAD.

For the record: ROCKING AIR YEEZY’S DOES NOT MAKE YOU A SNEAKERHEAD.
Rocking FASHION-FOR-DUMMIES-101 sneakers might make you fashionable but it does not make you a sneakerhead (This one probably ruled out most of the kids that got their BAPE’s from Ama Kip Kip).

3. Thou shalt not camp out for kicks.

5. Thou shalt learn to care for your sneakers correctly.

7. Thou shalt not become a sneakerhead because its "cool"

8. Thou shalt remember release dates

9. Thou shalt not envy the kicks of friends

10. Thou shalt not wear your kicks in the rain
