Flexin/Mercy

The Ordinary Girl may be the only person on the planet suffering from Kanye West fatigue so sorry, you won't be reading about where to cop his new shoes here. What you can read about here, even though you've probably already seen this on the American blogs, is his video for Mercy. Or rather, G. O. O. D Music's catchy AF joint, Mercy. It looks very similar to Siya's visuals for Flexin (which was released well before Big Sean and 'em). I don't know if it's a case of imitation being the highest form of flattery. What I do know is that the well known artists will always get the props for what a lesser known creative pioneers or at least puts out into the world of their own accord. But don't pay attention to me, I'm just a girl who is tired of Mr Kardashian, after all.

If you're interested, here's Siya on Flexin:

And this is Mercy:

Is Mos that G.O.O.D?

Now we don't know how true this is, but judging from a XXL article titled "Monster's Inc." , it seems Mos Def has joined Kanye's imprint G.O.O.D Music. Will this see Mos enjoying some commercial just as Common did when jumped on board? Time will tell. This is what the article said verbatim:

“Just as Kanye returned to his roots to scoop up Common, he recently recruited his buddy Brooklyn rapper/singer/actor Mos Def into the GOOD Music fold. Long regarded as a formidable talent by underground devotees and mainstream fans alike, Mos appeared on “Two Words” (from Kanye’s 2005 The College Dropout) and “Drunk and Hot Girls” (from KW’s 2007 Graduation). Since his 1999 solo debut, Black on Both Sides, Mos has increasingly been pushed — whether by generational choices or self-exile — to the fringes of indie, alternative hip hop. Maybe it will take Kanye to reign him in.”

G.O.O.D Music definately in the building!!! But...With Kanye also signing Pusha T, Charlie Wilson and CyHi Da Prynce, could this be overloading the roster to the point where none of his artists can get the necessary attention they need? Hmmm... What do ya'll think?
