Oh Blimey

It's not just a female thing. You know that. There are plenty of rappers who are so ill in battles that you catch yourself almost finishing your data bundles while watching them murder opponents on youtube. Oh Blimey is one of those rappers. So anyhow, as far as freestyling and battling goes, Oh Blimey is really dope. But she's also proof that the old ass theory of battle rappers being unable to make an album to save their lives is for real. I tried to listen to her mixtape, MVP Season, but that was so basic. I prefer her in the battles. Askies.

I first came across her in the GRLZ RMX video. Remember the annoying AF girl who was in the I'm From Rolling Stone reality show? Dude had a mini crush. Ha. Well, first she used to go by the name Krish. Then she decided nevermind writing about rappers because she wanted to be a rapper. So now her alias is Rocky Rivera. Yawn. And she featured Oh Blimey (as well as Raven Sorvino and Plane Jane) on this wack ass song:

Fly As Raven

You know how theblagg feels about spitters with clits - that's word to Jean Grae. So whenever we can be introduced to rappers who happen to be females we like to spread the word. The Fembassy recently featured Raven Sorvino in an interview and we've been keen to hear her music ever since. Plus any girl who wears Pac Div on her chest is cool with us. Raven's EP, Inspired, was well, inspired by Aaliyah. So Babygirl is sampled throughout the offering. Similar to what Mae Day did with Sade. We're not sure if Raven is rocking the mic just right for us quite yet but we'll be downloading a few joints to find out. What do you all think of her?
