The Ordinary Girl is a four-finger-ring-fiend. I just love them. I'm not into the sparkles and shiny stuff. I like 2-finger rings. Three-finger rings. I love them all. And I really appreciate the dope pieces that display creativity. Especially if they are one of a kind items. Like this!



A while back, Woodville Inc (a craft shop that obviously specialises in wooden accessories/items) hooked Jamla's own, Rapsody, up with a ring I adore. It is the title of her mixtape, Return Of The B Girl. If they can fit that onto a couple of knuckles or four then they can make a The Ordinary Girl one. Be afraid to give me a pound if you see me rocking that. [Insert evil laughter here]

Gimme A Ring

We know a lot of you blaggers and blaggettes are balling, we see you. So while it’s going to be a very merry little Christmas for some of you guys, the rest of us can only dream about what we would’ve liked to get if our last names were Simmons, or Motsepe, or Winfrey or… you get the picture.

But I’m ok with mine being Girl - The Ordinary Girl to you. So, on my Imaginary Christmas List I would pick everything in Melody Ehsani’s ring catalogue. Especially that matte black 3-finger chain ring (up top) - we lifted the picture from Saints and Sirens. The designer-jeweler-wonder-woman named Melody could get all my Oprah’s if I was making that much. Maybe not all my money. Some would have to be saved for that Patta Precinct 5 trip and spending money.

Why am I telling you all my wishes? Why aren’t you showing me some love or some hate rings? These 3-finger acrylic rings that we found on The Giant Peach are sold as a pair so you could get me both…



Eish, anyway, we’ve been up on Melody Ehsani for a while now and we don’t have to get into why. All you have to do is open your eyes. And if you could get a sista the ring that you see in the collage at the bottom (found on This Is Lavie) then that would be off the chain too! Sorry, I just had to.
