I mean personal.Up close and personal is what the homie Puleng from Leswapside (click on that right there) got when she was backstage at The Hansa Pilsener Legends In The Making Tour that came to a climax with a performance by Pharrell Williams and Shay Haley of N*E*R*D.

The night was amazing. Just ask Dude when you see him. Oh and Malaika put on a darn good show too. Yeah, The Ordinary Girl said it, deal with it.

Prepare To Be Geeked

I’ll be honest, Dude is a way bigger N*E*R*D fan than I am. Waaaay. So when Hansa Pilsener announced that they would be bringing the “alternative hip hop” (we don't like that term around these parts) group out to South Africa for the Hansa Pilsener Legends In The Making Tour, Dude’s mind’s hardrive almost soiled its pants. That’s right, Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley will be hitting the stage this weekend.

Hansa Pilsener chose South African muso’s that they dubbed “legends in the making” then sent them on a countrywide tour. They include Malaika, DJ Tira, Kwela Tebza, Ntando, Zuluboy, Futuresound, Freedom, Vusi and DMos. The campaign comes to a close with an invite-only night of entertainment provided by N*E*R*D – although they keep being referred to as Pharrell Williams and his band. The frontman is fiiiiine though so in some ways, I don’t blame them. See for yourself:



If you didn’t get invited or win tickets by buying a Hansa Pilsener dranky-drank then boo-hoo for you. Because seriously, you could’ve won tickets through many social networks and websites and more importantly, by going to see the local talent when they went from city to city performing for you! But we’ll tell you how dope the concert was. Ha!

Hot 'n Fun

Yes they are back. N*E*R*D* is dropping their fourth album on June 15 and their first single called "Hot 'n Fun" features Nelly Furtado (one of the many artists that T.O.G. and Dude don't agree on). "Hot 'n Fun" is a fun dance record which will probably be a smash in the club. I can already see DJ Milkshake mixing it in with some Timbaland joint while bobbing his head crazy in his pink and black Air Yeezy's. Ahem... I digress. "Hot 'n Fun" is exactly what its title suggests and has the potential to be a mainstream hit for this niche-fan-based-band. Have a listen, and tell us what you think.
