For The Technicolor Lover In You
You all know I love Amanda Seales. Her newest offering, Technicolor Lover, is now out and you can buy it (you read right) over on her bandcamp page. The 10-tracks are produced by the likes of Ski Beatz and Ray Angry. And here's the visual introduction:

Post-Black and Post-Racial

The Ordinary Girl likes Toure a lot. But over the years, there are two things that continue to baffle yet impress (I don't know how that works, either) me. One is the fact that he has a wife - I won't go into more detail. And the other is that he has managed to make a name for himself with just one name to go by. Like Prince. Or Madonna. That's cool. But what some people are saying isn't cool, is Toure's new book, Who's Afraid Of Post-Blackness: What It Means to Be Black Now. I hope to read it soon but I haven't yet so I can't speak on it. However, there have been talks about these buzz phrases; "post-black" and "post-racial." In the video below, Toure, my Amanda Seales and Baratunde Thurston speak on the two and their differences. What do you make of all of this?

Catch The Deev

theblagg still has plenty of love for Amanda Diva. Her latest offering, Madame Monochrome, even includes an alternate version of Little Things, The Ordinary Girl's second favourite Diva Diva Ya'll track. One of the songs that has received plenty of love on Madame Monochrome is Catch Me, which was produced by James Poyser. The video is rather sick - she and her 3s had us super jelly within the first 5 seconds of the video - and the content is as though Sidney Shaw just asked her her famous interview question. Amanda elaborates on this song over at her tumblr, Diva Jams. What do you think of the joint?

Diva Kicks

theblagg hearts Amanda Diva!! The poet/rapper/TV personality/Diva Speak TV presenter/ Superwoman has a mean shoe game - if you don't believe us then see the picture below. Yet another testament of how Nike has monopolised the sneaker wearing market. At least Amanda has some Adidas kicks in there though.
