Everyone and their internet alter ego knows The Ordinary Girl has a deep appreciation for Common and that beard of his. But the years seem to be catching up with him. Maybe he should also move to RocNation (see previous post for reference). Making me explain my jokes and stuff. Sigh. Ok, anyway, this is the video for Ghetto Dreams featuring Nas. Apparently this song is also going to be heard on Com's ninth album, The Dreamer The Believer.

Eternia, Elzhi and Escobar

By now you've heard about Elzhi's much anticipated mixtape, Elmatic. If not, here's what's up: the half of Slum Village recently paid homage to Nas' clasic, Illmatic by dropping a 10 all-live tracks into a mixtape that is similarily titled. One of those is One Love.

So moved by it was Eternia, my favourite rapper who wears a skirt, that she just had to remix it. Yesterday she tweeted "I touched a classic and today I'm leaking" before she unleashed her take on the evergreen joint. Here's E's dopeness, Elzhi follows and the original 1994 gem by Nas is last.
