theblagg and the good fellas at Kool Out Live – you know, the Cape Town-based collective who brought us dope hip hop acts like People Under The Stairs and DJ Babu – are giving one lucky person a chance to see one of the dopest rappers of our time Blu and producer-extraordinaire Exile for FREE.

Here’s how:
1. Find your favourite Blu and Exile song. This can be from Below The Heavens or one of the joints they did together on Dirty Science
2. Use your cellphone or camera to record yourself rapping the song
3. Send your clip to theblaggtv@gmail.com with the quickness

Then wait for us to notify you if you won. All the clips that are sent in will be posted on theblagg and theblagg and Kool Out Live will determine who the winner is.

Now we already told you that tickets for the show at Zula Sound Bar in Cape Town on 3 September go for R100 and Town Hall in Newtown on 4 September are available at R120. But you’d much rather win them right? So get sending!

Blu & Exile hitting our shores

Whether you are a fan of Blu & Exile or not, you can't deny that Below the Heavens was a classic album. DON'T EVEN FRONT!!!! So we were glad when the good folks at Kool Out Live told us that they are bring Blu & Exile out to South Africa to perform in Cape Town(Zula Sound Bar, September 3) and Johannesburg(Newtown Town Hall, September 4). Here are a few words from Kool Out Live.

Blu & Exile are a formidable underground duo from Los Angeles. These two up and comings have already created what some are calling a 'timeless hip hop classic" with their collaborative effort "Below the Heavens". Both are artists in their own right and are masterful in their field. Blu's career is about to explode having just signed to Warner, he gained respect for his work as Johnson & Jonson, and now recently working with the legendary Roots crew. Blu has a way of delivering his rhymes so that people across borders, age groups and genres can relate. Exile, with
