The rumour mill can officially come to a standstill. It’s true. Captivity Headwear has been awarded the rights to distribute New Era (in a legit manner) in Southern Africa. That means Mzansi, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Swaziland will be able to get their hands on a fitted. Apparently Nigeria and Mauritius will be shielded from our sweltering heat in style as well yeah.
I promise New Era is not paying us to say that. Truth is the caps are phly. And the fact that they are omnipresent on Jab’s head is the proof in the pudding. So maybe NE can hook the DJ/producer up with some merch now that they are officially on our soil. Just saying.
We came across this black on black New Era Yankee fitted (up top) on No 4 Corners and we are impressed. It’s amazing that Jay-Z can say “shit I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can” and this is what comes of it. Yep, a Blueprint 3 limited edition fitted was made. See the three red stripes on the side there? Maaaan. Here’s hoping there will be some South African collabos from now on. Well done to Captivity Headwear.
