Wait. You mean J. Cole does sometimes take the body warmers off? Phew. All jokes aside, Coley Cole has a new video for his single off Cole World: The Sideline Story. I am convinced someone in the RocNation camp is handing out some fountain of youth creams. You all saw how youthful Young Hov is looking in the Otis video and now Jermaine looks like he just started varsity in this video. Oh well, anyway, what do you make of this video?

Cole's Sunday Best

It's been a while since theblagg gave you some news on J. Cole but trust, no love is lost. Leading up to his debut album's release - it's called Cole World: The Sideline Story and comes out on September 27 - Jermaine will give us a mix of old and new songs in the form of Any Given Sunday. Something else to add to the sport theme. Sigh. Anyway, the songs you get on these Sundays obviously won't be the ones that make it onto the album but The Ordinary Girl sure hopes they are better than Work Out. Yeah, I said it. A firm favourite, Knock On Wood, is one of the joints featured this Sunday and always gets me in a good mood. Download the whole tape over HERE.

Oh and Cole's calves in the Cole Summer mini-doccie are a sight to see. On behalf of women everywhere, The Ordinary Girl would like to recommend basketball for all men be compulsory. That's all.

Look who's taken a page out of the J. Cole school of songs? All teasing aside, Reason's newest joint that sees him, ahem, singing his chorus, is really dope. Produced by Ootz, 15 Grand is all Reason says he needs to feed his seed, get his cheese and get his dreams. Like Cole, Reason taps into the side of him that brings him down to the truimphs and trials of the ordinary joe's level and makes him relatable. In case you hadn't figured it out by now, Reason is also the newest signee to Tumi Molekane's Motif Records label. To prove the deal has been sealed, T From The V jumps on to the end of this joint over The Clipse's Popeyes (Popular Demand) instrumental. However, the real star of the show is Reason on 15 Grand. theblagg is really stoked about this joint. What do you think?

Tipping his hat off to Redman and Method Man, the latest leak from J. Cole borrows the title of Red and Meth's stoner comedy, How High and a part of their chorus too. The answer to that used to be: there is no telling. But when it comes to the man who famously asked that in his Grown Simba chorus it's safe to safe J. Cole is going straight to the top. His debut album is still not out yet even though he says it's coming really soon. Uh-huh.

To make the wait bearable for all you Colecain addicts, Jermaine has dropped yet another "leak" - the third in under 2 weeks - and this one definitely sounds like the Cole we know and love. No disrepsect to Disgusting and See It To Believe It. This is Return Of Simba and it's produced by Elite (they work well together don't you agree). If you don't know, Cole has identified with Simba - yeah, as in the Disney lion - since The Come Up.

He's had Simba (from The Come Up), Grown Simba (from The Warm Up) and now Return Of Simba to show everyone he may be but a cub in the game but he's got a lot of pride. See what we did there? Ok, nevermind. Here are the joints if you haven't heard them yet.

Believe In Cole?

It seems that we are quarter-to-release for J. Cole's debut album but don't we all feel like the kid's been around forever. In a manner of speaking, he has. How cute is this picture of him from when he was just yay-high? Did he believe he would grow into who he is today?

Well even if Grown Simba didn't foresee his future, he's made believers out of lots of us. Now this track - it's called See It To Believe It - hasn't been claimed by anyone to be going anywhere so we're not sure if it will make it onto the album.

We're not sure we want it to though. The Ordinary Girl has some thoughts about Cole's direction on the new joints we've heard but she's going to reserve them for now. What do you think of this song?

J. Cole, one of our favourite emcees who is yet to drop his debut album, drops a track called "Disgusting" to keep taste buds wet before he drops the album. He says the album is ready, the sigles are ready, the name is dope and the music is amazing!...We'll have to wait and see. How sweet is this picture of a young J. Cole? Alas, theblagg didn't create this gem of a visual. Made From The Best Stuff On Earth

Yes, this is yet another theblagg post that has to do with J. Cole. Except, it's got way more to do with Snapple. Yes, that drink that Tommy always used to grab from Martin's fridge when he tries to play Dr Phil. Or lie about having a job.

Here we have the making of "Hold It Down" - one of The Ordinary Girl's favourites off Cole's second mixtape, The Warm Up. The behind the scenes clip is insightful - naturally. But why is there a random ass guy talking ABOUT SNAPPLE over the making of this song? Yakking on about wanting an endorsement. Why?

If anyone should be asking for endorsements on camera it is the artist, J. Cole. But he's not. Why? Because he is making music! What he is supposed to be doing! Why are there always these dudes in the studio who neither rap or play yet they are the loud mouths? What are they supposed to be doing? The answer is not in a swab of Kat Stacks' saliva is it?

Oh and we love Snapple - ask the Engen petrol attendants. It truly is made from the best stuff on earth. But so is J. Cole. And that's exactly why we wouldn't be acting a fool in his recording session!

Is Drake Over or is it the Drake-Over?

Young Money artists have a tendency of making us wait. If we are not waiting for Weezy to go to jail already!!!! Ahem. We're waiting for Drizzy to drop an album. It's even gotten to the point where Dude and The Ordinary Girl have moved on to looking out for J. Cole's album to drop (Can't wait!!!! Dri... Dra... Who?? Oh, the other light skinded guy. He's aight, but he's no J. Cole). So we ask (not that we care anymore), WHEN IS DRAKE DROPPING HIS ALBUM?? After a host of features with damn near errbody in the business, we have enough Drake verses and hooks to put together an unofficial Drake album and more!!! COME ON NOW AUBREY!!!

With that said, here is the first single off Drake's debut album Thank Me Later. "Over" is produced by Boi-1nda and has Drake talking about his ups and downs during the last 12 months. Drake's album is slated to drop in May so is this enough to keep you waiting?

"Imma Master The Unhook... Again"

I just have a way of weaving J.Cole's name into every conversation. I'm on my stan-game proper. Don't hate. So earlier today I was bumping Light Skinned Jermaine's Lights Please (Dude's favourite joint off the The Warm Up Mixtape) and these lines really stuck out for me:

The Ordinary Girl: Because he's trying to school her and tell her who they were as a people and why they have much further to go and she's not trying to hear that. Not tryna stretch her mind. She's good to go if you master how to unhook.
It's sad because I don't think the girl he describes is stooooopid. I think there is no confidence in herself or in her people. She deals with the here and now. Don't tell her about the future or what she can become, all she has is what she is. Now. And while he knows better, what can he do. For real, what can he do because he is human and he needs the pleasure? Say no? GTFOH!
