Dude's been a varsity jacket fiend for a minute. And a few months ago I was trying to get Dude a substitute birthday gift. I couldn't get him what he really wanted but just you wait til The Ordinary Girl gets her money right. So while kicking myself about what his substitute gift would be I spoke to a really good friend of ours. He told me he could get Dude the black Nike Brazil team varsity jacket that Dude had been pining over for less than what most people paid. Long story short: I didn't get Dude that jacket. I got him something more spectacular instead. But that's because I didn't know about this Homerun Jacket by GANT!
I definately would have thought twice about that birthday gift if I'd seen this maroon and beige beauty! Do you understand that these sleeves are leather? Do you understand that it's hot as hell in South Africa right now but this nylon/wool body is even hotter? And I'm talking more than temperature. Do you understand that the simplicity of this varsity jacket has the ability to school most? Do you understand that its plaid interior takes everything to a new, heightened, inexplicable dopeness? Do you understand how badly I, I mean Dude, needs to get this?
